S'mores Pastry Pizza
This blog post and recipe is a creation of our good friends ten year old daughter, Kayla :)
I made this s'mores pastry pizza because I went to awesome Ashley and Billy's house to see them and to have a delicious dinner! When we were done with dinner we wanted a little quick, sweet treat so we made this fantastic pastry and called it the "S'mores Pastry Pizza". We named it that because it looks like a s'more, on puff pastry and it's in pizza form. How we made it was - we put puff pastry in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. When it was done we let it cool down for a couple minutes and then we put fluff, butterscotch-peanutbutter, and Nutella into separate zip lock bags, snipped off a corner of each of the zip lock bags and squeezed it in a zig zag pattern on the puff pastry. After that we put it back into the oven for 5 more minutes. When it was done we let it cool down for a couple minutes and BAM the creation was done!!
I would give it a 10/10, if you're a person who doesn't like sweets or you're not a sweets person then I wouldn't recommend it.
This is optional but what I like to do is add some....POWDERED SUGAR!!!! It makes it a million times better! So if you like powdered sugar I would really recommend adding it!! So that is how Ashley and I made this amazing and delicious pastry or what we like to call "S'mores Pastry Pizza"! If you make it I hope you like it!
1 Egg White
1 Tbsp Water
1/2 Sheet Puff Pastry
1/3 cup Nutella
1/3 cup Peanutbutter (or we used Nutty Novelties Butterscotch Peanutbutter)
1/3 cup Marshmallow Fluff
2 Tbsp Powdered Sugar - Optional
Preheat oven to 350F
Whisk egg white and water together to make simple egg wash - set aside
Roll out 1/2 a sheet of puff pastry to desired thickness (flour your surfaces and pastry dough). Brush entire surface of dough with egg wash.
Fold inward all four sides of the dough about 1/2 inch, press with fork to create a pretty "crust" all the way around your pizza.
Bake for bout 15 mins or until crust is golden and puffing up slightly ( if it puffs to much simply poke it with a knife to let the air escape )
Fill three small ziplock bags, one with Nutella, one with peanutbutter and one with marshmallow fluff, snip off a small corner and start drizzling your toppings. Lightly dust with powdered sugar (optional)
Slice & Serve! Enjoy!
